Christmas in the Park

Join in the fun of the many Uptown activities on the evening of the first Friday in December! Santa and Mrs. Claus arrive Uptown in a fire engine! Watch the lighting of the Peace Tree in the park, talk to the Clauses, get a free horse-drawn carriage ride, grab a cup of hot chocolate to warm up, watch out for the library-sponsored walking storybook as you wait in lines!, and don't forget to stop over at the library for some extra family fun.

Our Friends group will have their popular annual Holiday Book & Media Sale in the lobby from 4-7 p.m. From 5-7 p.m., kids can make a special cinnamon dough ornament to take home with them. We'll have our perennial favorite Holiday Tuba Ensemble playing holiday tunes from 6-6:30 in our lobby.

And don't forget, throughout the month of December, we'll have Santa's mailbox in the lobby for your letters -- it's a direct line to the North Pole!
